Minimum Wage Redux

In his Times column today, Paul Krugman argues inwards favor of a higher minimum wage, suggesting that the adverse utilization effects are trivial. Unfortunately, Paul presents a highly selective review of the literature. For example, this paper is relevant. From its abstract:
"new prove based on methods that allow the information position the appropriate command groups leads to stronger prove of disemployment effects, amongst teen utilization elasticities nigh −0.3. We conclude that the prove withal shows that minimum reward order a tradeoff of higher reward for to a greater extent than or less against undertaking losses for others, together with that policymakers demand to deport this tradeoff inwards heed when making decisions nearly increasing the minimum wage."
Addendum: This old post yesteryear Steve Landsburg on the unfairness of the minimum wage is worth rereading.
